Higher Grounds Trading Company in Traverse City is getting to work to support local veterans.

They have released their new “Bold Glory” coffee blend.

High Grounds has teamed up with Northern Michigan for Veterans to donate proceeds from the sale of the coffee.

For every bag sold $5 will be donated to the organization.

Higher Grounds owner, Chris Treter, says there are gaps in the system that is meant to support veterans once they come home.

Treter says, “Michigan for Vets cares for our veterans in our area on all of the things that they can’t get for veteran services that are available and firsthand I’ve witnessed the holes that exist in services for vets in our area.”

Higher Grounds says they will be selling Bold Glory at their store and online for the foreseeable future.

Their hope is to get the blend sold in other local stores.
