Michigan health officials are reporting 2,629 new cases of the coronavirus and 25 additional COVID-19 deaths, but 24 of those deaths were found during a records review.
In total, Michigan has reached 618,421 cases and 15,835 deaths since the pandemic began.
Recoveries number 556,697 as of March 12. The state defines ‘recovered’ as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).
