Applications for the Pure Michigan Hunt are available through the end of this December.
It’s $5 to apply and three people will be chosen at the end. The money helps fund Michigan’s wildlife habitat restoration and management.
For 2020, the DNR saw 73,000 applications purchased, up 34% from 2019. Those selected for the Pure Michigan Hunt will receive a hunting package worth thousands of dollars.
“In addition to that you get licenses to hunt elk, bear, spring and fall turkey, antlerless deer and you get first pick at a managed waterfowl area for a reserved hunt so it’s a really amazing program,” said Digital Media Specialist with the DNR, Eric Hilliard. “You walk away with some great hunts for the year as well as some awesome prizes.”
There is no limit on how many time you can apply.
