A local musician is currently battling cancer, and his family is asking Northern Michigan communities to band together to help aid his fight.
If anyone close to Jason Bailey would describe him, they would say he “has been the guy would help out anyone.” Now he needs your help. Last year, Jason was diagnosed with stage-four stomach cancer, and along with that, came the worry of paying medical, treatment, and living expenses. “His current job did not provide health insurance so it’s all on him,” said Jeri (AKA Aunt Sissy), who is incredibly close with Jason. “Did you know it costs at least $400 just to get evaluated for treatment if you don’t have insurance?”.
To help support him and his family during this difficult time, Jeri started a page to help pay the bills while Jason “makes slaying this dragon his job”.
So far, they’ve raised just over 50-percent of their goal. To help them get closer, to make a donation to their GoFundMe.
Coming up on March 21 at 8 PM, Jason’s daughter, Bella Jane is hosting a virtual benefit to help raise funds as well. to attend and share the event.
