Petoskey to Hold Virtual Writing Workshop

The Petoskey District Library and the Good Hart Artist Residency are putting on a free writing workshop this Thursday over zoom.

Artist in Residence with Good Hart, Steph Sorensen will talk about short-form fiction and poetry. It’s an interactive workshop where participants can really work on their writing by making every word count. Several exercises will teach how using certain words can be really helpful when simply trying to get your point across.

Sorensen brings a lot of experience to this workshop. “She’s participated in a lot of different writer workshops and writers festivals–poetry festivals,” said Val Meyerson, library director. “She’s been awarded multiple scholarships and I know she’s thrilled to be in the area and participate in this program.”

Those looking to participate can register on the Petoskey District Library’s website.
