A four-legged officer is reporting for duty at the Leelanau County Sheriff’s Office.
A K9 named Now Klouse is the team’s new K9 partner.
He and his handler, Corporal Ryan Lott, are set to begin training next week Monday.
Klouse was born and trained in Poland. He is about a year and a half old.
The sheriff’s office says making Klouse part of the team was made possible through the support of a local family as well as many other donations to the Leelanau County K-9 fund.
Welcome, Klouse! The sheriff’s office said on Facebook, they “look forward to many years of service within our community.”
