Buckingham Palace says Prince Philip underwent a successful heart procedure.
The 99-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II was treated for a pre-existing heart condition. Earlier this week, Philip was transferred to a specialized cardiac care hospital, St. Bartholomew’s, in London.
Philip’s daughter-in-law, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, said his condition had improved slightly.
He was first admitted to King Edward VII’s Hospital on Feb. 16 for an unspecified infection. Buckingham Palace has said that it was not related to COVID-19.
