National Day of Unplugging Encourages Family Time
Friday is the National Day of Unplugging.
It comes at a time where most people are spending a big part of their days in front of screens.
Whether it’s on phones, computers or tablets, families are feeling the rise in screen time, especially during the pandemic.
From virtual learning to working from home, everyone understands just how draining screen time can be.
Kids are spending eight hours or more a day online for school and socializing.
The campaign encourages other activities like getting outside or joining their scavenger hunts.
During the National Day of Unplugging, you can sign up for cell phone sleeping bags to hide your devices in.
A difficult challenge after a year spent online.
However, time away from them provides an excuse for all us to take a break, spend time with family, and remember what’s important during this difficult time.
