Group of Senators Seeks Broadband Boost Nation Wide
A group of bipartisan senators is hoping to change the speed of your internet.
Thursday, those senators sent letters to the Departments of Agriculture and Commerce, the Federal Communications Commission, and the National Economic Council.
The letter calls for an increase in broadband services nationwide.
They want officials to raise the federal definition of high speed internet to 100 megabits per second for downloads and uploads
Federal speeds now stand at around 25 megabits per second for downloads three megabits per second for uploads.
