Vaccines for Every Adult by Memorial Day, Biden Says
There is a new glimmer of hope in the fight against the coronavirus in the U.S.
President Biden says the country is now on track to have enough coronavirus vaccines for every adult by the end of May. That is at least two months ahead of schedule.
The announcement comes after a major agreement that will allow drug-maker Merck to help produce Johnson & Johnson’s single dose COVID-19 vaccine.
The White House says it will take a couple of months to get the Merck production process going, but they believe it will dramatically increase the vaccine supply.
Health officials expect it to take until the end of summer to administer those vaccines.
