Judge to Rule on Snyder Legal Team’s Bid to Dismiss Charges Next Tuesday

The judge in the case against former Gov. Rick Snyder says a hearing next Tuesday will determine if his misdemeanor charges should be dismissed.

His lawyers are arguing that the indictment returned by a one-person grand jury was filed in the wrong county because Snyder didn’t work in Genesee County.

The judge in the case was initially uncertain if he could rule on the legitimacy of the indictment against Snyder. But now the judge feels confident he can.

Snyder is charged with willful neglect of duty in the Flint water crisis investigation.
