Texas Electric Board Members Resign After Grid Failure

Texas Electric Grid

Five members of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas are resigning.

Last week’s deadly winter freeze in Texas caused more than 4 million customers to lose power, with many blaming the failure on the electricity grid’s leaders.

All board members resigning live outside of Texas, a fact that intensified criticism against them.

The resignations come a day before Texas lawmakers begin hearings at the state Capitol over the power outages.
