Man Charged in Gov. Whitmer Kidnapping Asks to Change His Plea

One of the men accused in the plot to kidnap Governor Whitmer may get a plea deal.

Ty Garbin is scheduled for a change of plea hearing in federal court next Wednesday.

Back in October, Garbin’s lawyer said he had no intention of carrying out a kidnapping.

Five other men also face federal charges for their alleged roles in the plot while eight more face state charges.
