Governor Whitmer is asking the federal government for the ability to directly buy 100,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to address a vaccine shortage that’s affecting local health departments.

The District Health Department #10 has reached vaccine capacity and is no longer able to schedule appointments.

The website link has been temporarily disabled until appointments are able to be scheduled.

The health department thinks it could be the end of the month until more arrive.

“What we are hearing is that probably by the end of this month or hopefully by the end of this month we are going to start to see the additional doses of vaccine coming in. We will communicate out to folks when we do have vaccine and are able to schedule additional clinics,” said Kevin Hughes, Health Officer of District Health Department #10.

They are asking people not to call the health department and be patient.
