Here’s something you’d hate to see in your rearview mirror – flashing lights from a police car, and you are being pulled over. But, for some drivers in Sault Ste. Marie this was actually a good thing. This morning, troopers from the Michigan State Police pulled just over a dozen drivers, not for traffic violations, but instead to spread holiday cheer. They were giving away turkeys.

“We want to help people out this coming Thanksgiving holiday,” said Sgt. Ben Eckola, as he was handing out a turkey. “Put this to good use and from the Michigan State Police, Happy Thanksgiving!”.

The turkeys and bags of fixins were donated from a Save A Lot store.
