Republican National Committee: 47 Other Counties Use Same Results Software as Antrim
"We have concerns it could have caused issues in other counties as well."
The Republican National Committee (RNC) is raising concerns about the software issue that skewed election results in Antrim County.
The clerk’s office said the results were skewed, caused by a software issue.
They have since recounted by hand and released unofficial results showing the county stayed red.
On Friday, the RNC says they have learned 47 other counties use that same software.
“There was a major software issue in Antrim County that we have concerns it could have caused issues in other counties as well,” said Republican National Committee chair Ronna Romney-McDaniel.
“These counties that use this software need to closely examine their results for similar discrepancies,” said Michigan Republican Party chairman Laura Cox.
They are calling on full investigations into the irregularities, as well as what they say are some irregularities downstate.
But the company that makes the software says is was human error that caused issues in Antrim County.
