Grand Traverse Area Halloween Garden Decorating Contest: Cast Your Vote

A fun outdoor contest is raising money for local nonprofits.

The Grand Traverse Area Children’s Garden, behind the Traverse Area District Library, is home to a Halloween garden decorating contest.

The garden’s executive director, Kimberly Conaghan, says they have tons of fall favorites like “mums and pumpkins, hay and corn stalks. And then you’ll also see some spooky things like jack-o-lanterns, ghosts and witches. Not haunted, just a little spooky.”

Eight local nonprofits created spooky displays and you can vote for your favorite online. Each vote costs $1 and the proceeds will be shared among the nonprofits.
