Congressman John Moolenaar Votes Early in Midland County

Congressman John Moolenaar cast his vote Monday morning in Midland County.

The congressman dropped off his absentee ballot in the drop box outside the office of the city of Midland’s clerk.

Moolenaar has represented Michigan’s 4th district since 2015 and is running for another two year term.

He says he’d like to continue to work on securing a treatment for covid-19, rebuilding the economy and making sure funding for a new Soo lock and the Great Lakes remains in future federal budgets.

The congressman says it’s also important people vote.

“I would just encourage people to vote however they’re most comfortable whether it’s early voting, absentee voting or on the day of the election, I want to thank the clerk’s for all the many hours they’re putting in to make this a secure election, but ultimately it’s our civic responsibility and the opportunity we have to choose our leaders,” said Moolenaar.

Moolenaar is being challenged by Democrat Jerry Hilliard.
