The countdown is on for Halloween. You have just about 2 weeks left to get your fright fix! The Ghost Farm of Kingsley is still on this year but is embracing some changes to keep people safe while giving them a good spook. Their haunted trail is open and they are only sending people who come together through at a time to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

The Dine family has been behind this production for the last 11 years. For them, this is all about tradition. “Some people like to set up a Christmas tree— we just really like Halloween so we come out here and scare people,” explains Madison Dine.

Over the last decade, they’ve had the chance to perfect the art of scaring. There is a lot of psychology at play in order to scare each and every person that walks by. Desirae Dine, the owner of the Ghost Farm explains, “That first person in that group psychologically that’s the bravest person. The second bravest is all the way at the back. Now the one in the front we call the hammer and the one in the back we call the rock because the hammer is breaking through the darkness and telling everyone ‘follow me, I’ll lead you through the darkness.’ Then the rock is like don’t worry I’ll keep the darkness at bay behind you.”

These volunteers are ready to make you shriek, sure to send chills down your spine. The Ghost Farm is open every  Friday and Saturday 7-11 p.m. and Halloween night 9-11 p.m. If you would like more information, .
