The has a new way for people to check out books while social distancing.
They have set up a new high-tech curbside locker.
People can reserve a book online, on their app, or by calling the library. Then they will put it in the locker for you.
To pick it up, you’ll scan your library card and it will open the locker with your book and check the book out for you.
The library hopes this is a way to give more people access to their collection.
“We’ll put it outside and then it will be available to them 24 hours, 7 days a week, which to us is a great service for the people,” said library director Dawn LaVanway.
It will also allow them to continue checking out books in the event the library has to close. They are currently just one of a few libraries in the state to have these lockers available.
