Left Foot Charley Opens New Socially Distant Tasting Room
A northern Michigan wine and cider business is opening a brand new tasting room that enables people to enjoy their beverages with some peace of mind during the pandemic. Left Foot Charley located in the Village of Grand Traverse Commons has created a space called, The Barrel Room right next to their original business.
The new site is inside one of the historic buildings within the historic Commons built in 1900. Limited tables are spaced outside in the garden area and inside the Barrel Room.
“This was a perfect opportunity for us to create this little garden area, so people can sit and try some really special, very limited wines here with us,” says operations manager with Left Foot Charley, Meridith Lauzon.
People need to go online and reserve a spot in the Barrel Room where they can try Left Foot Charley wines and ciders and also have small plates from Trattoria Stella, also located in the Village of Grand Traverse Commons.
“We’re going to be offering elevated tasting experiences called the Gold Medal tasting at 1 and 3 p.m. Then at 5 to 7 you can reserve a table, you can enjoy one of our seasonal small plates offer by Trattoria Stella,” says instigator of enhanced Barrel Room experiences, Kristy McClellan.
The Barrel Room will officially open to patrons starting, Thursday, August 6th and will be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
