Special Olympics Michigan Wraps Up 2020 Virtual Summer Games
This year’s Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI) athletes have all crossed the finish line and wrapped up their very first virtual summer games. The events were held on July 19 through July 25, and consisted of athletics, education, and fun.
Hundreds of athletes were able to compete in 20 different events ranging from basketball and volleyball to gymnastics and weightlifting. They also took part in a six-week-long Fit 5 fitness and wellness challenge that got them prepped for the games.
