What was your inspiration?

“When I was a little kid, I was surrounded by art, most importantly, my mother was a local artist, Joni Braun. She was always painting and sketching and she would have a sit for her for portraits, and being surrounded by art. I lived among artists, and it just kind of effect on me.”

“Mostly oil. I do use acrylic once in a while, especially for things that are outdoors and, you know, not as much mass, I want to do things quickly. And, I also use acrylic as usually as a base layer of tones and composition.”

What do you want people to take away from your art?

“I hope that it helps them sit still with a moment in time of beauty I suppose that kind of connects people to a sense of well being.”
