State Announces $15 Million in Relief Funding for Farms, Food Processors

The state of Michigan just announced $15 million in relief funding for our state’s farms and food processors.

The funding is set to help ease the risks from the coronavirus and its effects on Michigan agriculture.

The money comes from the federal CARES Act.

$10 million in grants will be provided to food processors statewide with grants ranging from $10,000 to $200,000 each.

The other $5 million will go to farms with grants as low as $10,000 and as high as $50,000.

The funds will provide grants of up to $1,000 per employee to help with the costs of continuing work during the pandemic.
