Enrollment for Online College Classes Setting Records

Michigan universities are seeing record rates for online summer classes.

Nine out of 10 institutions project growth in summer enrollment. Two-thirds of schools say they are anticipating at least a 4% or more increase during summer marking periods.

This is an unexpected boost for colleges that are facing tight budgets because of the pandemic.

Some teachers say they have been pleasantly surprised by students’ engagement in the online setting.
