Rad.ish Street Food Opens Location in Traverse City

Rad.ish Street Food is known for its gourmet plant-based cuisines. The owners, Ryan and Lisa Moberly are from Long Beach, California, and started pop-up restaurants to Traverse City in March Radish Street Food Opening2019.

The duo has been cooking colorful and flavorful vegan dishes at community events and even partnering with businesses like Third Coast Bakery in Traverse City for specialized menus. Now, as of Friday, May 29th, Rad.ish Street Food has a location of their own inside The Coin Slot arcade in downtown Traverse City at 346 East Front Street.

The menu will include vegan sushi, vegan sushi donuts, teriyaki bowls, and poke bowls that will include rice and soy-free homemade tofu. Rad.ish owners want people to know that their tempura sushi is made in an air fryer using minimal oil and nothing will be deep-fried. Most of their sauces will also be gluten-free.

“I’ve been cooking since I was nine when I stopped eating meat. Seeing this kind of all come together is really beautiful,” says Rad.ish co-owner, Lisa Moberly.

Lisa’s husband, Ryan has been a chef for most of his career and made the shift to a plant-based lifestyle and ultimately how he cooks without using any animal products.

“We really want to show people a different way to eat and get the same flavor without harming anything,” says Rad.ish co-owner, Ryan Moberly.

The eatery is also using farm to table, seasonal vegetables, and herbs in their dishes and will be serving locally made organic tea blends.

Rad.ish will not serving people inside their building at this time but will instead do curbside pick-up on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. They encourage people go on their website to place orders and to call when they’re outside The Coin Slot arcade. Food orders will then be brought outside.
