Kalkaska Farmers Market Opens for the Season
Everything from produce to jams and homemade soaps are on sale at the market.
Areas are marked off to promote social distancing, and hand washing stations are available for vendors and customers to use.
Organizers thought this would be a great time to boost morale in Kalkaska while still being safe.
“It’ll be kind of that little sense of normalcy back even though things have certainly been chaotic and it’ll be nice to see familiar faces again and be able to shop local,” said said Renee Penny.
There are more vendors scheduled to come in the next couple of weeks.
The market will be open every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. until the end of September.
