Three federal coronavirus task force members have placed themselves in quarantine after coming into contact with people at the White House who tested positive for the coronavirus.
They include Dr. Anthony Fauci, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Robert Redfield, and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Stephen Hahn.
All three were set to testify for the Senate Health Committee hearing on Tuesday.
Now all four witnesses will be testifying remotely.
Dr. Redfield and Dr. Hahn were already scheduled to join by video-conference.
But now Dr. Anthony Fauci will be joining remotely. And so will the fourth witness, the assistant Health and Human Services secretary.
Committee Chair Senator Lamar Alexander announced the change Sunday night. He is also in self-quarantine and will be joining the hearing by video-conference. His office says someone on his staff has tested positive for the virus.
