Ferris State to Host Virtual Open House For Students

Ferris State University is hosting a virtual open house Wednesday for students interested in becoming a bulldog.

Typically during this time students and parents would be visiting colleges or signing up for classes on campus. Now with COVID-19, Ferris State is offering an online orientation.

The virtual open house will allow people to talk with an academic advisor, check out class options as well as a number of other opportunities to get people thinking about their future.

Students can even get admitted that day. To be admitted, students must submit official or unofficial transcripts and test scores to transfer@ferris.edu.

Steve Reifert, dean of extended & international operations at Ferris State, says, “Part of the message we want to get out is Ferris is still here, we’re still providing classes, we’ve got lots of opportunities and options for you. This is perhaps the first step, whether you’re a freshman or whether you’re a non-traditional or someone who may be just interested in a certificate over the summer.”

The virtual open house is on Wednesday, April 22, from 11am to 1pm. Preregistration is recommended. Students can RSPV or get more information at: ferris.edu/statewide/open-house
