Grand Traverse Health Department Issues Message to Seasonal Homeowners

In Grand Traverse County, where seven people have tested positive for COVID-19, the health department is sharing a message for seasonal homeowners.

They say anyone traveling to the county from a high-risk area should self-quarantine for 14 days.

It’s important to note, this is not a recommendation.

They say the area’s hospitals and public health systems cannot handle a jump in cases as more people move north with summer approaching.

That’s why the health department says they want people traveling north from high-risk areas to stay at home, use grocery delivery services, and bring supplies from home.
