BREAKING: Confirmed COVID-19 Case in Clare County, Two Presumptive Positive in Charlevoix and Emmet Counties

Health officials have announced three new cases of COVID-19 in Northern Michigan.

One has been confirmed while the other two are presumptive positive cases.

The confirmed positive case is in Clare County.

As of right now, there is no information about who tested positive.

Their travel and medical history are also unknown.

In Charlevoix County, the Health Department of Northwest Michigan says a woman has a presumptive case.

They say she has a history associated with international travel.

Another presumptive case is in Emmet County.

The health department says it is a man with no history of travel.

Both individuals with presumptive positives cases are currently isolated in their homes and are recovering.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Health Department of Northwest Michigan recommends people

  • Wash their hands.
  • Stay home when sick.
  • Avoid close contact with sick people.
  • Avoid touching their face.
  • Disinfect commonly touched surfaces.
  • Avoid shaking hands.
  • Follow suggested guidelines for social distancing.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has a statewide hotline to answer health-related questions about COVID-19.
