GM Says Lansing Plants Will Get New Shifts, 1,200 New Workers

General Motors is adding more than a thousand jobs at two factories right here in Michigan.

GM says its Lansing Delta Township plant will get a third shift and 800 more workers.

They’ll build the Chevy Traverse and Buick Enclave SUV’s at that location.

Meanwhile, the Lansing Grand River Plant will get a second shift with 400 more workers.

They plan to build two new Cadillac Sedans there — the CT4 and CT5.

Positions will first be filled by GM employees that were laid off at other factories.

The new shifts will start sometime between April and June.
