2020 Legislative Polar Plunge Raises $34,000 for SOMI
Lansing lawmakers jumped in icy cold waters today to help raise money for Special Olympics.
A dozen legislators and more than 30 staffers took the plunge outside of the capital building, including Rep. Roger Hauck of Isabella and Midland counties.
Just today, they raised $34,000 for Michigan Special Olympics.
This season has been setting new records.
So far there have been 23 polar plunges. They’ve combined to raise roughly $1.1 million.
