What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Classes at Chateau Chantal, U.P. Ice Golf Scramble, Mardi Gras on the Mountain
As the winter weather slows down, there is still plenty to do across our area.
Courtney Sheffer from the West Michigan Tourist Association brings us details on What’s Happening in Northern Michigan.
Pick up some new cooking skills at a cooking class held at Chateau Chantal in Traverse City now through April!
If you’d like to stay on site, the cooking classes include a discount on stays at their bed and breakfast.
Upcoming classes include a “Handmade Pastas and Sauces” class on February 29, “Spring Into Piedmont” on March 7, “Fishing in Cinque Terra” on March 14, and more unique options running through April.
Get ready to bundle up and work on your swing for the annual U.P. Ice Golf Scramble and Glow Ball Challenge in St. Ignace on March 6 and 7!
Registration is $40 for a two person team, and includes all of the activities on both Friday and Saturday.
Friday includes a glow ball “closest to the pin” contest at dusk, and on Saturday join for the awards ceremony, and use their free shuttle service to explore St. Ignace.
Get ready for the annual Mardi Gras on the Mountain on Saturday, March 7 at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville.
You’ll find activities and beads galore for the whole family, with live music, mask making, and an on hill search for beads.
