The winter season may be in the final stages, but some of the indoor festivities at the Village of Grand Traverse Commons in Traverse City are still in full swing. In fact, the indoor farmers market is holding on until April inside the Mercado area of the commons. Every Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. you’ll find northern Michigan vendors with everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to locally made soaps, lotions, and artwork.
Krystal Fluette with the Minervini Group, says one of their unique events provides a way for families to experience the winter season indoors and appreciate what the Village of Grand Traverse Commons has to offer. This includes ‘Taste of the Village’ which includes walking tours of the historical old state hospital tunnels and stops at Left Foot Charley and Earthen Ales. During the brewery stops, people can learn more about the preservation and reuse of the former state hospital grounds.
