MTM On The Road: DIY Fermentation with Cultured Kombucha Co.

Cultured Kombucha Co. in Traverse City is the first microbrewery of kombucha tea in Northern Michigan.

Now they are teaching others about the art of fermentation.

Four local experts are coming together to partake in a DIY Fermentation series from February to May. They are hands-on classes happening every third Wednesday of the month to learn how to ferment sourdough bread, pickles, sauerkraut, and more.

Classes are $15 and people will be able to take home their own fermentation kit to do it in their own kitchen.

The series kicks off on Wednesday, Feb. 18, and Regan Blissett and photojournalist Stephanie Adkins are in Cultured Kombucha Company’s taproom to preview the festivities.
