Traverse City Ladies Auxiliary Raises Money for Make-A-Wish

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Traverse City is raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Saturday.

The Hearts to Grant Wishes benefit includes a dinner, auction, live entertainment and more.

The community and local businesses donated more than 100 gift cards and prizes.

The group hopes to raise more than $6,000, the amount it costs to grant one wish.

“We support our kids and with the terminally ill children here, it really gives them hope, so I think it’s really great that we can do this for a local child,” says Brenda Galla, madam secretary of F.O.E Ladies Auxiliary #383. “Just the pouring of support is just amazing, and then all of us coming together to make this happen.”

The event is on Saturday, February 15th starting with dinner at 4pm and a speech from Make-A-Wish at 7pm.
