Coronavirus Crisis: CDC Confirms 14th U.S. Case in San Diego

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed the 14th case of coronavirus in the U.S.

This one coming from San Diego.

Globally, more than 60,000 people have been infected, mostly in China.

And deaths related to the outbreak continue to rise.

The latest confirmed case in the U.S. was an evacuee from China. That patient is being held in isolation at a San Diego hospital.

And dozens of new cases were reported among passengers and crew members aboard a quarantined cruise ship off the coast of Japan.

That brings the number of confirmed cases to at least 219.
