Ford to Spend Millions to Settle Fiesta and Focus Transmission Lawsuit
Ford will pay millions in a proposed settlement over failing transmissions.
According to the Detroit Free Press, the automaker will payout at least $30-million to customers.
This is to settle a class-action lawsuit over the Focus and the Fiesta.
Models of these cars built in the last ten years are known for bad DPS6 dual-clutch transmissions
According to the Free Press, internal Ford documents show the company knew of the defects but continued to build and sell the vehicles.
A Ford official says they believe the settlement is “fair and reasonable.”
It is expected to be approved during a hearing next month.
