New Michigan Law Allows Remote Pharmacies

Governor Whitmer has signed a new bill into law that will let remote pharmacies operate in Northern Michigan.

The legislation sponsored by state Sen. Curt Vanderwall will let a pharmacist oversee multiple locations.

They would use real time and audio video feeds to review prescriptions.

These would then be dispensed at the remote location by a pharmacy technician.

Vanderwall says this new law will allow new pharmacies to open in rural areas and increase access for Michigan residents.
