Massive Toyota, Honda Recall for Air Bags Affects Millions
Toyota and Honda are recalling millions of vehicles over unrelated safety issues with their Takata air bags.
Toyota is recalling nearly 3 million cars here in the U.S. for potentially defective equipment that’s supposed to protect passengers during a crash.
And Honda is recalling more than 2 million vehicles in the U.S. for dysfunctional Takata airbag inflators.
Toyota’s recalls cover vehicles made from 2010 through last year.
Honda’s recalls date back to 1996.
Honda-controlled Acura also has some vehicles being recalled.
