Roscommon Co. Man Charged For Shooting at Someone Who Allegedly Broke Home Window

In his update, the Michigan State Police says a man has been charged for shooting at someone who allegedly broke a window outside of his home in Houghton Lake.

33-year-old Drew Sorenson faces several charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm

9&10 News previously told you about the shooting, which happened on Jan. 11.

Troopers say they were called to the scene on M-55 around 8 p.m.

They say before the shooting, Sorenson had been arguing with the victim over item’s stored on Sorenson’s property.

That person went to Sorenson’s home and allegedly broke out a window with a car wash broom.

Troopers say that’s when Sorenson began firing. One round went through the victim’s car window as he attempted to leave.

Sorenson was arrested. He faces the two charges mentioned above and is also charged with felony firearm, possessing a firearm and ammunition as a felon, possessing a short-barreled shotgun, and false report of a felony.
