Tom Mueller and Other Late Ferris State Bulldog Supporters Honored at Hockey Game

Ferris State University Athletics honored a late member of the 9&10 family along with other long-time Bulldog supporters just before Saturday night’s hockey game against Alaska.

Tom Mueller spent more than 40 years working at 9&10 News and was truly beloved by all.

He always had something kind to say and was one of the friendliest people in the building.

Tom loved hockey, golf; and above all else, his family.

His son was the goalie on Ferris State men’s ice hockey team from 2003 to 2006.

Tom continued to support Ferris Athletics after his son’s graduation.

He assisted with multiple projects and major moments like Ferris State Men’s Basketball’s 2018 National Championship.

Tom unexpectedly passed away in November.

He along with late Ferris State Bulldog community members Joan Wellnitz, Luanne Rothstein, Rolfe Schwerin and Kenneth Walz were honored Saturday with a moment of silence before the playing of the national anthem.

You can watch this dedication in the video embedded above courtesy of Ferris State Athletics.

The moment of silence can also be found in its entirety at this YouTube link.
