U.S. House to Send Articles of Impeachment to Senate

Wednesday is expected to be a big day on Capitol Hill.

Four weeks after House lawmakers voted to impeach President Trump, the House is set to hand the articles of impeachment over to the Senate.

House investigators also released new information related to the Ukraine scandal that prompted the impeachment inquiry into the president.

They released details on notes, texts and documents from Lev Parnas, an associate of President Trump’s lawyer, Rudi Giuliani.

Parnas says he was involved in the pressure campaign on Ukraine to investigate President Trump’s political rival, Joe Biden.

In the texts, Parnas implied former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch was under surveillance.

The Senate impeachment trial will likely start early next week.
