MSP Determines Bomb Threat At Grand Traverse Academy Was a Hoax

Michigan State Police say a possible bomb threat at Grand Traverse Academy turned out to be a hoax.

State police say they were called to the school just before nine Tuesday night.

The school’s superintendent told them a former student saw a concerning Snapchat post involving a selfie of a current and former student in the gym for a basketball game, with a caption reading “we have a bomb.”

The two teens were questioned by police and claimed the post was a joke.

MSP says they did not find a bomb, and confirmed the threat was not real.
