Michael Flynn Asks Judge to Withdraw Plea Agreement

Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has asked a judge to withdraw his plea agreement.

It comes just two weeks before his scheduled sentencing after he pleaded guilty to lying to investigators about his communications with a Russian ambassador.

Flynn also cooperated with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Now he claims he was tricked into the plea agreement.

Last week, federal prosecutors changed their stance asking for leniency in the case to requesting up to six months in jail.

That sentencing is scheduled for January 28th, but Flynn wants it delayed.

He says prosecutors acted in bad faith and violated the plea agreement.
