Local Woman in Need of a Liver Transplant

Amy Gollay of Lake Ann in Benzie County is desperately hoping and praying for a liver transplant. Right now, Amy’s fighting an advanced form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Amy’s symptoms started about a year ago when she was having major digestive issues and after several tests and hospitalizations, she received her diagnosis.

In order for Amy to receive a liver transplant, she either needs someone to have passed away to donate their organ or needs a live donor who can donate part of their liver. Amy’s blood type is O-Positive but positive or negative will work in this case. If a confirmed donor is found, surgery is set to take place at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
