Wellness for the Family: Meal Prepping
Americans spend an average of around 230 dollars a month eating out.
In this week’s Wellness for the Family, registered dietitian Grace Derocha of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan talked to us about meal prepping tips that will not only save you money but make the most of your time.
She said that the first step is to gather supplies and a few staple ingredients to help kick-start your meal prepping. After this, you are only spending money on a few items per week to easily put together a week of meals.
Grace recommends that your meals throughout the week incorporate whole grains, lean protein, healthy fats, and a variety of fruits and veggies.
