Menu Monday: Spanglish

Clean eating is about so much more than just healthy options for this northern Michigan restaurant as they are the only Green Certified restaurant in the area.

Spanglish in Traverse City is serving up colorful and authentic Mexican cuisine that is taking local ingredients and produce to create the tastes of southern California.

Owner’s Anna and Vicente Serrano met in a health spa in California before moving to northern Michigan to start their dream business.

Melissa met with them at their location in Traverse City to get the low-down on their unique menu.

From vegan and vegetarian to celiac and more, they are catering to everyone’s dietary needs and making customers feel comfortable eating at their restaurant.

They walked us through two of their specialty recipes — pork tacos and fried rice that can be served up in a number of different ways.
