Ice Brings Down Trees on Snowmobile Trails in Chippewa Co.

The ice damaged much more than just power lines throughout northern Michigan.

Crews are now clearing out snowmobile trails in the eastern Upper Peninsula because the ice brought down trees across numerous trails.

The DNR wants to remind riders of the dangers ahead of the weekend and says Chippewa County got hit the heaviest.

They also advise you to stay away from partially broken branches and trees.
